Established by the Green Party of Virginia at the August 2000 quarterly business meeting, the Structural Reform Committee (SRC) is charged with reviewing all GPVA structures and procedures as codified in the Bylaws, and with proposing reforms to the GPVA.
The Structural Reform Committee had its first meeting on April 14, 2001, in Charlottesville. In addition to periodic in person meetings, the SRC conducts much of its business through online discussion.
The SRC is open to all interested members of the GPVA. Locals are strongly encouraged to delegate active representatives to this committee.
Proposals for Bylaw changes will be made available to the membership at least 31 days in advance of GPVA quarterly business meetings, for general discussion by the membership. The SRC is a working group, not a decision making group. Proposals formed by the SRC will be consensed/voted upon by the body of the GPVA at GPVA quarterly business meetings.
